Received email from Orcus with the Transaction Reference # 2075223074 and Invoice, bill of sale, with information on how to send wire transfer from bank. Paper work said delivery Saturday, March 20. Received an email from the wife, Ashley Smith, that she had been notified that we had started the transaction. I sent email saying we had.

3/18/2021: We were not going to be available on March 20 so did a chat on line to get the date of delivery changed to after 3PM on Tuesday, March 24. Went to bank and completed wire transfer. Received another email from wife, Ashley Smith thanking us for keeping her in loop.

3/19/2021: Received email from Orcus confirming payment and approving shipment.

3/25/2021: Received email from wife, Ashley Smith saying boat was winterized.

3/24/2021: Received an email from Orcus saying that Due to a problem the delivery would be delayed. Said – Your Shipment has a time limit to be successfully completed before Friday, March 26, 3:00PM. I went on line and chatted to find out what time we would receive the boat. I was told we would receive a call first thing Friday morning telling us the time. We never heard anything.

3/26/2021: Received no phone call, went on the Orcus website and chat was no longer operational. Said to use email or call. Tried to call numerous times. Phone would go through to machine with which would keep you waiting for about ten minutes then would tell you to call back. The email was not working either so went to my previous email I had received and replied to them trying to get information. We have heard nothing at this point. Also emailed the supposed wife, Ashley Smith several times and have received no response. This morning when I called Orcus got a recorded message that they were closed for the weekend. Would not open until Monday at 9AM. The chat and email still do not work on the website.

3/26/2021: Since it looked like we were not going to receive the boat, Paul, my husband, called the bank Synovus Bank (Miami Florida) were the money was wired. They took down all our information but could not tell us anything about the supposed Escrow account where the money was to be deposited. The account/beneficiary is Jachym Corp (account # 1014877680, Routing # 061100606). Paul also went to our bank, Camden National and alerted them.
3/29/2021: Still have not received boat. Not contact with company. Not able to get them by phone or email.

I just bought a boat through them too, payment was made and got an email that the boat was dispatched for 5 days now and still have not receive the boat. This is not good as i came across this site/message.

Any advise what to do next?

Delivery was scheduled for this past Saturday March 27th , never received item and have not heard from anyone with the "company" since March 22nd.

This business poses as a consignment store. I saw an ad in Craigslist for a boat and contacted the "seller". The "seller" gave me all the information about the boat and told me it was being sold through www.orcusauto.com, gave me an inventory number to use on the website and a broker contacted me. The purchase was made on the website, where instructions on how to pay via wire transfer were posted. Once the wire transfer was processed, the broker answered the phone several times but eventually stopped taking my phone calls. Emails with updates for the delivery were sent to me every time I tried to contact the company or the broker. The delivery was postponed many times, they emailed several times that my boat was being transported, it never arrived. I requested a refund (they advertise a 7 day money back guarantee). I even received an email stating that my refund was approved. I never received a refund. The website even has a "tracker" where you can see the status of your order.

When we were trying to purchase an antique car, Scammer sent transaction via email for payment but would not answer the phone after I asked for a website and why I could not locate him on BBB. Do not give your money to him. Goes by Peter Evans but couldn’t confirm whether that was his real name.
