Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
We had an item for sale on Facebook Marketplace and this person contacted us by text message expressing interest. Started out OK but then messages started to have misspelled words and odd phrases. He sent a cashier's check in the mail to us from a California address and the check was from Bank of Coushatta, P.O. Box 1360, Coushatta, Louisiana with the note RE: Mark Donovan. Took it to our bank and it was a fake cashier's check.
Sellers beware.
