We have purchased a puppy from facebook marketplace, we send the money for pup and the seller send the pup to optimum shipping agency. They contacted us at first for the initial contact, they said they have received the pup and ready to ship him to his new home. After a few hours, they havesk aed for almost $2000 for insurance, crate for the pup and vaccines in which these are essential and that we understand, So we proceeded with PayPal, but then they said it was not going over, and they started to ask for American Express Prepaid card, so we did comply because we wanted the puppy so badly. After one night, they asked for more money and explained the pup needed license and overnight stay at the vet. And so on, they keep asking more more gift card, it was not until the retailer's employee stoped us from buying more and said it was a scam. We have spend almost $5000 in total but still no dog. So we go on ahead and check the balance of the prepaid card and the money was used on a lot of stores. Therefore, our conclusion was that the seller and the shipping company was one and they were scamming us. We realized that a big company would never asked for gift card as payment.
