I was invited to take a survey and the reward was free Air Pods. I was just asked to pay shipping cost of $6.95. I hesitated but the reviews were good and I chatted with someone on the site. Against my better judgment, I paid the $6.95 for shipping and today I see a pending charge from "NEXT GEN SHOP" with a 866-505-6891 number associated with it for $116.73 which I never authorized. When I called the 866 number, the lady (who sounded Indonesian) said that I purchased Air Pods and had a 7-day free trial to use them, hence the charge. I told her I never authorized this amount. I asked her what her company name was and she said it's "Luxury Online Store in North Kansas" but when I searched this online during our call, there was no such listing so I asked her what the specific name was. At this, she asked to be put on hold, and I said "No, don't put me on hold. I didn't authorize this charge. Please cancel this order and refund me my money immediately." She claimed that she did that today (Dec 16, 2022) but it'll take 3-5 days to process the refund. I believe this is a scam.
