Predatory business practice of charging users a full subscription price by convincing them they are only signing up for a free trial

Subscribed for 6 month IPTV service plan and received only 3 months service. Company stated partner issues and was locked out of panel. Requested for refund several times and never got it. Company only provided an option of another service and wanted me to subscribe to it which would be more money.

After attempting to use a mobile parking website, something popped up on my phone saying that the closeout of my parking fee was unsuccessful. I couldn't get out of the screen. I was told to click on continue for a free membership in something. I then received a charge for $49.95 which the credit card company declined. There were also charges for $1 and $1.95. Apparently this "company" is tracking parking activity to target people.

This was a company (Antheia Services Ltd, Larnaca, Cyprus offering free subcritption to a dating site but once signed on it say that the person has subscribed to 2 companies, cupid.com and cupiddates.com, both with bogus profiles, and payment has to be made every month, and both sites start taking money almost immediately. Trying to cancel the subscrition is impossible since customer service confirms on phone and they even confirm by email that subscription is cancelled but they keep taking the maney. These are fraudulent practices and this company must be investigated and other lonely and vulnerable people protected.

This is the most messed up situation - UNBELIEVABLE!!! I was on Tik Tok came across a sight called thedailyboxclub.com. They were advertising all these free things from Amazon for $54.00. I was not aware it was a subscription I changed my mind at the last minute and assumed the charge did not go through as I never received any confirmation whatsoever, no phone number, no address, no subscription, no charges, NOTHING. I checked my CC and saw there were TWO charges of $54.oo each two days in a row. So I call my cc Citibank (I'm putting their name out here as well as they made this more of a nightmare!!) and tell them what's happened and that the company was not not whom they said they were and that there was no contact information for them except for an email i found on the internet [email protected]. I emailed them about 20 times no answer. In the mean time my credit card takes the two charges off and does a so called investigation. 2 days later they have put the charges back on my cc to pay! Never mind that there are two suspicious charges two days in a row of the same amount. The CC company claims they have contacted dailyboxclub.com and that I am responsible for the charges. If the company was as legit as they say they are why didn't they answer my emails? Give some contact information for me to contact them? I argued and argued with Citibank did no good they say dailyboxclub.com is legit and therefore put the charges back on my credit card. I called them every day explaining to them this company was fraudulent!! I then contact the ScamPulse.com they contact me to day and say that they have contacted the dailyboxclub on my behalf and that their explanation is their name is NOT dailyboxclub.com Im mixed up! They are some vape company online. I tell ScamPulse.com this they say not their problem. I call Citibank again to tell them company is a fraud they claim their investigators will let me know yet again!

What do I have to do hire an attorney for $108.00 and a company that is allowed to get away with these scams???

I purchased the Luminess product by phone. I was told that I could cancel at any time. My credit card used solely for that purchase was involved in fraudulent activity so it was closed and I was issued a new card. The first payment had gone through to Luminess. I rcvd an invoice from Luminess for a second monthly subscription so I called and canceled within the 30 day time frame, spoke to an employee.

9 months later, I received an invoice from a collection agency for the 2nd month supply which I never rcvd since I canceled. On top of that, were late and collection charges. I called and tried to explain. The collection team would not let me explain, just said I had to pay 349. I tried calling the company who said there is nothing to do since it is in collections.

I had to pay for something I never received. I feel this may be a scam with their customer service and want to make other buyers aware.

This was terrible. I am out that money to avoid bad credit issues.

they ask you to sign up for a free video watching service like Netflix but then charge you 1.00. I froze the account before they took more money.

The app "Water Sort" purports to have an ad free option for purcjase. However, upon purchasing the ad free version of the app, the user is still forced to face ads .

I found an unknown charge to my account. After contacting my bank, they made me aware they have been charging my account since Jan. 2023. After the first three months they changed their company's name and started charging my account through that company. They have now stolen over $500 from my account. When searching the website, it cannot find it. When calling, I get an automated response that gives a run a round with no resolve.

On LinkedIn, I discovered a page called "HustleWing" that promoted part-time remove positions. I applied and received an email from someone named Jessica, recommending I create an account as there were more opportunities available. I created an account and paid a $29/month membership fee. Once I get access, there are no jobs available related to what I was looking for. I filled out a series of questions about my experience and it somehow posted as if I was the business hiring. The profile makes it impossible to delete this information about myself that's now public, and I cannot unsuscribe my monthly membership fee. I soon found out that "Jessica" is not real and a bot. They have no contact info on their website and no way of cancelling my membership, so I need to call my credit card company to block them from charging me and to report it as a scam. They even go about posting video interviews with so-called startup businesses looking to hire, to make it appear they're legit. I'm not sure how they have over 60K followers on linked in, but the services they advertise are false and this is a complete scam.

Make You Fluent is heavily advertised on Facebook. It is advertised as an AI product that helps with language learning. I am studying Spanish. It seemed to address all the things I was looking for from a language learning perspective. I signed up for 6 months at $49.99. The terms and conditions were clear that there were no refunds but the website and emails seemed professional, so I went forward (I know, I should have known better.) I was given a link to use on my iPhone to access the service. It brought me to a website that I couldn't move around on so I was never able to load the app on my phone. The service is not designed to use from a computer. At that point I went online to check out reviews. There were a number of reviews that said the service was a scam (www.trustpilot.com.) I immediately requested a refund, but they said they couldn't provide one because it is a digital product (which I don't understand.) They then said that they will make an exception and give me a 30% refund. Assuming I get the refund, my total outlay will only be $35 so I am not so concerned about the loss of money but more the possibility that this is a scam that should be stopped.

They said if I did a cvs survey I could pic one of five things and just pay shipping which was 5.95 for a stupid portable sweeper. Then a week later 86.00 was taken along with shipping. I called the number and they said that I signed up for a monthly membership to there club. I said I want my money and send me the thing where I signed something for a membership. She said ok but we can only refund 30.00. I never got proof of the membership.

"Trusted Housesitters" said they needed my credit card information so I could get more information for a friend potentially housesitting but I NEVER agreed to pay them any money. I just got a notice that they've just stolen $120 from me and they refuse to refund my money even though it's obvious deception.

This merchant supposedly leases his Algorithm software for Future's trading. On September 6, 2023 I subscribed to their 14-day trial service with a "7-Days Money Back Guarantee" advertised on their website. Today, September 12th and early in the morning I cancel my subscription, which is within the "7" days to get a refund due to unsatisfactory performance of his product, and I asked for money back based on his advertisement. After multiple email requests, and many hours, he sent me an email stating that there is no refunds on subscriptions and that there is no such thing as "7-Days Money Back Guarantee"! After I took a screenshot of his website, showing his domain name, time of the day (today September 12th, 2023) and his advertisement for refund; I confronted him with my holdings on his website, he went ahead and removed the "7-Days Money Back Guarantee" statement of his website and still claims that there is no such advertisement and no such refund. I have tried in multiple emails to kindly ask him to issue me the refund as he advertised and to prevent any headache and damages, but he ignored each of my later emails.

Complete scam! You pay the $299 yearly membership fee. You are promised up to 5 free leads the first month. You receive two after about 2 weeks and they aren't even in your area & you can't identify them as real people on any people search sites. You receive a CRM & website that looks like something created in the 80's & you can't even upload photos to the "gallery" that don't look like complete crap graphic wise. Then you contact your credit card company to report as fraud & you begin your dispute in April & now it's September & you are still disputing the case even though the company states that they will refund you your membership fee of $299 on a pro rata basis. They won't reply to you because they know that they are scammers. Then Mercury Credit Card sides with the scammer after they drag out a 5 month long investigation. Ironically, you paid in March & if they won't refund your money then shouldn't you still have access to their amateur website? What did I pay for. My membership is paid until March 2024. This is why Mercury's Fraud Dept is incompetent. Never questioned this...

I filed a police report tonight & now I'm planning to sue. Please see attached the liar's text to me before i joined. This details the "pro -rata" basis refund that I never received. Thanks Mercury for protecting your customer's money.

3 years ago I purchased a service from Viewpure.com to take commercials out of YouTube videos. My school district blocked viewpure so I tried calling and emailing the company to cancel. Unfortunately their site is no longer active, they have no phone number to be reached, and they keep charging my card every year even though I am not using their service. Every year I have to dispute the charge because they have access to my account and take the money.

Scammer offered a subscription to a website. A promotional trial offer was made, and initially signed up. I understood it involved paying for 10 month of membership, but I cancelled shortly after the promotional period to make sure I wouldn't get charged in the future. I was continuously charged for 5 months after. Also getting promises to no avail. Saying I wouldn't get charged again, but I check my statements and I would a charge every month after.
