I requested a VIN report from this Vin Lookup website on 10/5/2022 for what I thought was $1 but was charged $23.95. I've been charged $23.95 EVERY month since then and have reached out to them every month in regards to this issue. They have refunded me all but October 2023 and November 2023 charges that they say aren't coming from their end since Sept 14, 2023. When I asked her how in the world can this just keep going she replied "I have forwarded your request to the concerned department and they will take care of this on priority basis". I have been contacted by the same individual Karmen Jones, CS Manager at Carhistory.online each time I've contacted them about the unauthorized charges. She did tell me that I had initially signed up for a volume discount package that entitled me to 24 reports per month but I know I didn't do so as I needed the information just ONE time. The name description keeps changing on my bank account as well. Started out as VINREPORTS through April 2023, then went to VINLOOKUPU for 2 months, then to CARDATAONL for 2 months, then to PUBLICCARC for 2 months, then USVINCHECK for 2 months, ONLINECARR for the month of Sept 2023, CARDATAUSA for the month of Oct 2023 and now VINLOOKUP for the month of November 2023.
