I was first in contact with Jack (Phone # 480-740-0346) when we found a hot tub online that we wanted to buy and to see how much it would cost to move it. He quoted a price for the move but by the time we went to make the offer the hot tub was sold. On Friday, April 14th at 9:13am I received a text from Jack asking if we were still looking for a spa. I told him I would need to check with my wife. He stated they have a couple and after talking to my wife we opted for the bigger one for $900 delivered. We ended up texting back and forth and agreed to the purchase. When I asked if everything was functioning well, he texted back, “That is correct. The only flaw with that one is the cover has that small tear that does not affect the functionality at all”. We agreed to have it delivered Saturday the 15th between 11am – 12pm. He called just before that time and said he noticed some paperwork that there was an acrylic repair and if we still wanted it. My wife and I discussed it and decided yes. We asked for something off and he reduced it by $50. At that point we really thought this guy was honest to actually tell us about that repair. In the conversation he stated a couple times that he had water in it for four of five days and it didn’t leak. I was busy Saturday and didn’t have time to fill the spa. My daughter was so excited and kept asking about how soon we could use it. Early Sunday morning I threw the hose in and started filling it. I was drinking coffee outside and I heard water leaking. I went over to the spa and water was coming out of the bottom. I texted jack a couple pictures explaining I think it was the light since the water quit leaking when it got below the light. I also texted him if there was possibly a valve or something was open. No response. I continued to text him. No response. I have texted him several times and called him 12 times and he will not respond or answer my calls. He and his partner seemed so nice. How wrong we were. I took a side panel off to determine where the leak was coming from. Wow what a scam. It was leaking from a jet but mostly from the main pvc pipes. The pump and heater were not even bolted down. He intended to rip us off from the get-go. What a disappointment to see someone hold them out as a good businessperson to be so dishonest. Would you do any business with someone like this? He is basically a thief. I have all my texts with him before and after the purchase, pictures of the spa leaking, and records of all my calls.
