I was trying to apply for OSAP (Ontario student loans and grants) and needed to compress a PDF. I finally found a site that did it for cheap, and paid 10 US cents. I received a charge for 10 cents, but no compressed PDF file. I did sign up with my email, and bank info.

Later, today, I got a fraud alert from my bank saying the SAME company tried to take 70 out. It did not go through. The company is listed as COTOOLAI in my bank statement. I checked my account on TopPDF and there was no history of any subscriptions costing that much, only a ten cent subscription which I had already paid.

I tried to reach out, but they only have an AI replying. The AI eventually stopped replying to my emails asking them why they took the money out. I still do not have an answer, so it must be a scam.
