We found a puppy online and contacted them through the site. They responded via email and we went back and forth a bit about the puppy, my experiences owning a dog, and payment information. They requested names, emails and address since the puppy was being shipped. We spoke them on the phone. Money was sent via Venmo, only half up front. Got information about shipping and went through the Skyline Swift Courier website and it showed tracking information but nothing ever updated. They said the puppy would ship next day but we called each airport that would have been involved and no one had seen a puppy come through. They kept responding to texts acting like the puppy was coming but we haven't heard from them since. I was contacted by another gentleman who was also scammed. He lives in Florida and his puppy was coming from Maine so this seems to be nationwide.
