Was looking for a Belgium Malinois dog online, came across the website. Made contact was offered a pet and agreed on price and terms. After paying got pictures of the dog, was suspicious so I did an image search using Google and found the same picture of the dog on instagram from 2020. The dog is supposed to be 10 weeks old, based on when the picture was posted it is not possible to be the same dog. I had suspicions early on but they provided me a photo of a woman with the correct name and information.

Karri Mamoudou is the admin/breeder of Schnauzers adoption in Facebook and she initially texted me cuz I joined her group around the end of May. She told me to pm her in response to one of the dogs she was selling for $300. I initially told her I wanted to see the puppies at her place and she said yes. Then the next day she said she didn’t have time cuz she had to visit her sister at the hospital. Then she said for me to pay her $150 through Apple Cash then give her the other half next time when I had it. I didn’t think it was a scam at first so I paid her. That next time came and she said she dropped the dog off at an agency even though she said I could come by her home and visit Gianna the dog. After that, had been a nightmare because I was charged like $3000 for all sorts of fees, including the crate, $550 for shots, $500 for a bigger crate, delivery, transportation, etc…

I was trying to buy a hedge hog for Christmas. I requested more information on the website. I was contacted via text and emailed more information, including a contract. I paid $200 via zelle and transport was set up. During the supposed transport, I received an email from the transport company saying I needed to rent a special cage for the hedgehog. Rates ranged from $550-$1700 (depending on how safe you wanted the hedgehog to be). The transport company said my money would be returned upon delivery of the hedgehog. I contacted Comforthedgies who said this happened all the time and to pay it. After calling out the scam, they have been radio silent. Thankfully I'm only out $200 and not more. I'll be reporting the transport company next.
