I attempted to place an order of x5 items costing $35 each ($175.00 total) and a $30 shipping fee. The website sent a confirmation of order and was awaiting my payment of $205 for my order. I asked for Ethereum wallet ID (crypto currency) through text message which was provided and payment was made. Then the individual who I was texting with said there was a “one time” refundable insurance fee for $205 which I did find on their website, so I made another transaction payment of $205. Then the person I was texting with said they will need another $295 refundable tax payment because some agency just started requiring this fee. I did not see anything about this additional $295 refundable payment on their website in which I don’t have the money to pay that much in the first place. I text the individual back and said I would like a full refund of payment because I could not afford a $705 payment ($500 refundable) for $205 worth of products. They said they could not provide a refund because the payment already cleared their system, and that once I make the additional $295 payment I would then receive my product and $500 refund. All of my conversation with the representative from oneupmushroombar.com is documented in text message for reference. At this point I am out $410 of crypto currency (Ethereum) and the company stated they have no plans or refunding me my money until I pay them more.
