Scammer answered a post on Neighborhood site. Came to my house,gave a verbal quote. I hired him over the phone and he came to my house with girlfriend for a $600 deposit which was 50% of price quoted. After he received the money he gave me a start date of a few days later. He never showed. What followed was several phone calls from me and a couple of texts. He responded once by phone and a couple times by text. Each time he apologized for not showing up,set a new date and never showed..it has now been two weeks with three promised dates to come and start work. There has been no show, no call.
