I paid to have some sheetrock work done in my living room to be done on 9/16/2023. I called 3 times to verify this and also get his liability insurance number. He never answered or calls back. Spoke to him on 9/16 and was told he would be there on 9/23. I told him to cancel everything as he is not reliable and I want my money back. I was told no , he already bought the material ($60) and is keeping the rest of the money. He never gave me his name or address which I asked for numerous times. I told him he can keep the material and $100 for his time (1/2 hour for his estimate) yet he supposedly his 5 1/2 hours into it. I was told by him that he can do anything he wants as the last time he was caught he used the " I'm not from this country" excuse and got away with it.Please help me as I'm in social security and don't have excess funds
