One Source HR Solutions Reports & Reviews (1)

- New York, NY, USA

After looking for jobs on Indeed and Craigslist I received a text to both of my cell phone numbers and a blast to all of my personal emails. The message was from "Mary Townsend" saying that they received my application for a work from home position and I had an opportunity to work with "Onesource HR Solutions" for $22+ /hr. I was instructed to contact her via Google Hangouts and from that point I went through some "exercises" in preparation for training. To make the long story short... Those exercises were to write articles on topics of "her" choice and once day 3 came around she described the process of a check being deposited into my personal bank account for "supplies". Supplies that would allow me to work from home. Having been around the block, I started asking her questions... She said that the company has a vendor that they get the supplies from. I asked her who is the vendor and where are they located? I'm trying to verify the relationship between both businesses. She said she couldn't tell me who the vendor was until the funds were made available... which meant that she couldn't tell me until I deposited that check into my personal bank account. At this point my antennas were up and I'm searching the internet for check cashing scams and there it was... in the beginning of this particular article a woman named Mary was the victim of a scam that was almost identical.

After telling "Mary" that 1. I wouldn't deposit the check. 2. If her company had a relationship with a vendor that the transaction should be done from her company's bank account and 3. No funds

should be deposited in to my account unless it's my hard earned money... we stopped talking. I got the check in the mail a few days later and verified that it was fake by looking up the bank listed on the check via the Internet. I spoke with a teller from the banks exact location. She asked me for the check number in the upper right hand corner, the dollar amount, and who the check was for. She confirmed that the check was fake. The only thing I Iost was roughly 13hrs of my life but if I can spread the word I'd like to stop these scammers cold. The teller also told me that they can track who is producing these checks so hopefully karma catches them. Had I deposited the check I could be held responsible for the amount of money on the fraudulent check and could possibly go to jail.... I have screenshots of the entire conversation and more that I can't attach.
