A "popup" appeared on my computer screen, informing me my computer would "crash" if I did anything other than call the # listed on the popup message, as they supported Microsoft products and could fix my problem. Turns out they offered (3) plans to purchase computer tech support--the least expensive was $199.99 for two years. I did not dare shut down my computer and did not know how to get rid of pop-up messages at that time (I do know now). I allowed them to "clean up" my computer and contracted for the $199.99.
