I was contacted by text of a job opening stating this working from home job (which I do work from home) and they had seen my resume on "careerbuilder". I was directed to use Skype where I would be interviewed for the position of Administrative Assistant. I was then given the Skype ID# where I was given the name of the company Om Pharma, which I did google and it really is a company. I then did an interview through Skype, with their "HR". At the end of the interview there was a 30 minute wait and their "HR" came back and said they had scored my interview and if I wanted the job I was hired. I was sent links to their company which I did read through and seem to match up with what I was finding on my own. I was then told that they would be sending me a startup check to buy the required office equipment, as in computers, printers, scanners and a desk and chair. The first check I was given a tracking number for FedEx and after 2 days I was contacted by the Om Pharma HR and told that FedEx stated something was wrong with my mailing address and at their request I contacted FedEx and the lady I talked with told me that Om Pharma had requested the check be returned to the company. I was then told that another check would be sent by UPS. I was then given a tracking number to UPS and then on Tuesday 02/15/2022 there was a check for $3600 and a letter from Om Pharma account manager with information that they were wanting from me. I was to email back to the account manager 1. How the funds were disbursed 2. Exact amount disbursed 3. The deposit slip/receipt was also required. I promptly emailed the account manager at "[email protected]" that I had received the check by UPS. Once I had their check in hand, I went online and found that the bank the check was drawn on really is a bank in Shelton, WA and the routing number matched. This check was also a cashiers check. I received an email back from this account manager and she was being very pushy about me depositing the check right away, which the time of day was 5:25pm and I had no way of making it into Spokane to my bank so I told her I would do it first thing Wednesday morning. She became even more insistent that I deposit the check right away and to use my debt card and deposit the check in an ATM, which I refused. Wednesday morning as I was driving to my bank in Spokane I called my bank and told them I was on my way and what the situation was (their only branch office was closed) and I had an in person appointment with one of their employee's that I know. My bank then created a different savings account for me and deposited this cashiers check but put a 7 day hold on the check. I then informed the account manager and I sent her a copy of the deposit slip but blacked out all the bank information and my account numbers. Within 30 minutes of me leaving my bank, the lady I was completing this transaction with called to tell me she had taken this cashiers check to her manager who then called the bank in Shelton where the check was supposedly come from and was told that this check is 100% FRAUD! My bank then removed the check from that savings account they created for me and closed the account. My bank has returned this fraudulent check to me and I have saved every text message, email and Skype conversation. I have attached a copy of the check I received.

I unfortunately did send my drivers license and social security information to them. They started off by offering me a job and ended up hiring me, then after going through a process, asked for my bank information. I never sent it, but they do have my personal information my drivers license, my social security #. I don’t get money stolen but I am worried about what they might do with my personal information.

Hello they texted me then interviewed me on Skype chat only. They offered me a job as well 35 hr, flex hrs. Then wanted to email me a check I said mail it. They said to buy the equipment I needed. Does this so familiar?
