Old Line Spirits / imposter Reports & Reviews (1)

January 6th, 2022 I applied on Indeed for a Data Entry Specialist job (remote/work at home) for Old Line Spirits located in Denver, CO. I did believe it at first until my dad mentioned that it might be a scam. I'm not use to applying for these types of jobs so I didn't know what exactly to look for until it was a little too late. I'm going to put time stamps and all of our conversations below. I also want to say I did call the actual company to which the actual CEO talked to me and said they've been getting multiple calls about it. This message is from the first number they used. Monday, 2 weeks after applying, 9:29pm Sender: "My name is Mark Mclaughlin. I'm contacting you as regards your interest in our job offer for the position of Data Entry Specialist at Old Line Spirits. Kindly reply "YES" to confirm your interest and to discuss this position." 12:35pm Me: "Yes." This is from the second number they use. Tuesday 11:35am Sender: "Good day! My name is Mark Mclaughlin. Yes, now I completely understand how stupid and [censored]ic it was of me to send all that information. I really thought it was legit but I was sadly mistaken. By this time before the sender sent this next message I had already been suspicious so I did a lot of digging and realized it might 100% be a scam. 1:14am Sender: Okay. I'm going to send the list of equipments and softwares here (on Skype) later today and the financial manager will work on the fundings of them." 1:17am Me: "How will it work? Is the equipment going to be just delivered?" 1:18am Sender: "Your bank account would be funded and you'd be sending the money to our certified vendor. Then the equipments would be delivered to your doorstep between 2-3 working days." After reading this message I knew it was a scam but didn't block or delete the conversations and email so I could post them on here to be helpful. But wait! There's a few more messages I've gotten today That I have not and will not respond to. 10:58am Sender: Hello ****** Good day. Are you connected?" 1:48pm Sender: "Are you there?"
