My internet session was interrupted and would NOT let me exit out. A message kept flashing on my screen stating that I will lose all personal information if I do not call 1-888-655-7353. They said that they can fix my problem by subscribing to their service. The minimum cost for 2 years protection is $250 and about $800 for an unlimited number of years. They called my credit card company so that I can verbally approve their charge. They reassured me that there is a 30-day window to get my money refunded. Then I spent 3 hours with their technician and they were unable to download their product. They even had me uninstall my virus protection, but they were still unable to install their product. After 3 hours, I had to go to work. They told me they will call me later that night to continue installation. I was unable to return from work by that time, so I did not get their phone call. Several days later, my husband called them up to cancel and they told him that they will not cancel my subscription and will only refund $79 of the $250 because I had used their service, even though they had been UNABLE TO INSTALL THEIR PRODUCT on my computer! During subsequent interactions, they still refused to refund my money. It has been 24 days since the transaction. I am certain that in 6 days, they will tell me that I am no longer eligible to get a refund.

Computer frozen and pop up message and audio said to call tech support and provided phone number. Called number and agent said they would remotely login to fix the problem (used GotoAssist), asked for phone number. Got suspicious and shut down computer, agent called to say they were cutoff. We hung up and did research to find out it was a scam. Have changed bank accounts and passwords, and are having computer reset and cleaned.
