Scammer: uh hello? (as if to say "did you say hello")
Me: Yes, hello
Scammer: Never mind
He then hung up. I've heard of the scams where they are trying to get you to say yes then record your "yes" to authorize unwanted charges to credit card, cable or phone account or subscriptions. Or to sign up for a product or service then demand payment. If you refuse to pay they use your recorded 'yes' to confirm purchase agreement.
