Interview conducted entirely by Skype message. Sent check for me to purchase laptop & phone. Check was sent overnight on a legit company. Bank has determined the check was fraudulent. I’m out almost $3K

I went on websites like indeed and zip recruiter. A few to the point I am not sure which one lead to this. I was sent a text message mentioning the job and the pay rate. Then was asked if I was available for interview, I wasted no time to say I was. They asked questions and mentioned sending my answers to their board, which took a few days. They mentioned material needed and that they would send me a check. I deposited the check and sent them proof. There was no problem and the amount went through the next day. After following more directions, they told me to Zelle an amount to a third party but had some issues arose and I was told to call Zelle's decline line. When I called Zelle the lady I spoke to informed me that this was indeed a scam.
