I received a call on my cell phone that was identified as my current mortgage company, OCWEN Loan Servicing. The scammer told me my Escrow account was $812 in the negative. I needed to pay it or my loan modification would not be accepted. I paid it with my bank card. I was told they will call me back with the confirmation number. They called me back within 5 minutes letting me know my bank would let it go through (I have changed bank cards). They asked me get an American Express Serve card to pay the balance and to give them a call when I had the cards. I purchased the cards and gave the numbers for the cards to cover the negative escrow amount. They called me back the following day to give me a confirmation number. I contacted my mortgage company about the call and they informed me they had not contacted me. They took record of my complaint.
