. Selected Octa Web design, because of their great portfolio and package with great inclusions and price advertised on their website.

2. I was provided with a written package with the included features of the website – as well as:

100% customer satisfaction guaranteed and 100% money back.

I could not order online and there is no evidence that the terms and conditions of the company were given to us for acceptance.

The Salesperson Steve Smith sent a link after our phone call to send payment and start the process. There was no signature required.

3. After I sent the $ 500, I received a worksheet from American Web design Inc to overview the concept via email.

I questioned the Octa Rep. Why am I working with a third party?

He replied that they contract with multiple companies to do their web design. This major detail that I will not be working with Octa was not disclosed to me before sending the payment. I never wanted to work with a company with a poor reputation and reviews online. See attached reviews

4. The assigned designer Ricky Anderson took the initial worksheet and started the process, his incompetence or possibly ignorance to our concept started to show once he started skipping details.

He ordered us to select photos from Shutterstock, naming the photos one by one and inquiring about sending them over to him to build the website.

We spent countless hours going through thousands of pages. Afterwards he kept making endless mistakes and we spent hours of our time correcting his errors. Back and forth with phone calls - he never bothered to take notes.

The biggest disappointment was that we wanted a Shopify web store just the way Octa Web Design mentioned in the so-called contract.

Ricky started insisting that he had a poor experience and his relative had been disappointed.

We never had a choice but to make a decision - he started building a website through WooCommerce, we have no knowledge what the difference was.

We played along trusting Ricky's expertise.

After a few calls he started insisting on buying an SEO upgraded feature, we disclosed that we are on a budget and we will purchase this feature in the future, he would not let go of the relentless attitude to upsell of this feature.

I decided to send him the so-called Octa contract for him to overview the included features in case there is a confusion.

Ricky did not seem to care - he changed his attitude drastically after we turned down the expensive SEO feature.

Again - endless corrections and phone calls followed day after day with no visible results of satisfaction of the web design.

Ricky took from Sep. 8 th. to build a poor-quality website, we had an agreement with Octa that the process will take 2-3 weeks.

We always pushed him to get on a call and were always late.

We received the news that it's time to go LIVE.

We never understood what that meant. He insisted on sending the second portion of the payment, $ 500.

My husband spent countless precious hours of his workday trying to cancel the contract, because of the disappointment and Ricky’s lack of effort, expertise and knowledge to build a website.

Ricky said he had proof that we liked the website - that is incorrect - we liked the photos we selected ourselves. He kept positioning the welcoming statement over the picture and covering - he continuously kept insisting that it looked good.

He did not accept any feedback from us. We felt taken advantage of and stuck. He argued on the phone with my Husband and insisted on the final payment.

We felt harassed and helpless. My husband tried to place a phone call with Ricky's company. They mocked us by saying there is no one above Ricky and kept transferring my husband right back to Ricky. My husband and I were so stressed and distorted - missing time from working at our store to speak to Ricky and send emails to do his job.

Finally, he said the website is LIVE, not knowing what that meant I said: "I need to set up pricing of my merchandise". He sent an SOP sheet and kept insisting on signing the finalization of the website.

How is the website functional and finalized when customers don't have the ability to purchase anything yet? He said that he will provide videos on how to work the back end - set up pricing, manage inventory.

That prompted me to go over the included feature sheet from Octa Web Design.

The website was missing quite a few items - we have in an Email that Ricky said - nothing was missing.

He left categories of merchandise out stating: "Coming soon" despite the fact we have uploaded merchandise and spent endless hours looking to add them.

He contradicted himself again agreeing that yes, there were items missed, reminding you he denied it in the beginning.

He kept insisting on that sign off sheet. We still don't see the corrections.

We have no manual on how to operate the store as owners. He modified the contract and stated that he will charge us for maintenance. Our contract said it was included without conditions for 180 days. He kept insisting that it is only if the webstore crashes. If it is our fault for making mistakes, he will charge us. No fee included/ disclosed for this charge.

Making up all these conditions of the agreement pushed us over the edge.

We finally decided to call Octa and get our money back.

Our dissatisfaction was beyond 100 percent, we have no finished product. The website has the worst quality.

Ricky kept calling on 11/22. We preferred the texts instead to have everything in writing. Ricky stated he recorded the phone calls - I never consented that I would be recorded neither was my husband as the law dictates in California

I have tried to get facts from him on 11/22 - like full name and details about his company.

We would like our money back $1,000 since we were 100 percent dissatisfied and our agreement states 100 percent satisfaction or 100 percent of your money back.

We were not offered a unique design; we were thrown to a third-party contractor American Web design Inc without our consent.
