I received an email which contained all of my personal information (i.e. SSN, DL# from a previous state I had lived, etc.), they went on to state I had failed to repay a "payday loan" for which I have no memory of ever having done. It stated that there would be legal proceedings against me as well as their potentially contacting my employer and being discharged. Honestly, after reading it, the only thing upsetting is they have my personal information. At no time did I believe it to be credible as there is NO ONE, HR representative or as this individual claimed to be an attorney, that would disclose your personal information in an unsecured email, if ever. There is no contact information for this person claiming I owe them money nor is there any physical address associated with this faux law firm.
