My husband and I were told by the owner of the company that there were available funds given by the IRS for our business under the COVID paid sick leave act. We were told that an amended tax return can be submitted on our behalf through her business at a fee of $540/year for 2020 and 2021 tax year. The company continued to give us the IRS website to read upon the information regarding this tax credit for that were little doubt about this credit with my husband and I. After reading the information provided to us by the company, we decided to act on the offered service. We were told by the owner that the refund will be issued within 6 weeks after the IRS receives the amended returns. So, on October 2022, my husband and I submitted our 2020 and 2021 tax return through email and $1080 using cash app to get this process going. After 2 weeks we received an email from the company that obtained a copy of the amended returns that were supposed to have been submitted. Well the fraudulent journey began. After 2 weeks in the documents being submitted, we began to check the status of the return to assure ourselves that this was actually a legit business. No status of the returns had been submitted. So we began to call the company to get information regarding the status but wasn't able to reach the company by text or phone call for several days. After 3 days the owner called and swore that the documents were mailed 2 weeks ago but the IRS system were backed up. So we waited another 2 weeks and received the same status from the IRS site. NO INFORMATION FOUND. Once again we contacted the company again but couldn't get an answer. This went on for 2 months. Finally the IRS site showed it had received the returns and it can take up to 26 to 20 weeks to be processed. So we contacted the company again to receive a voicemail stating "please do not call or text for upon reviewing your tax return, ill be getting back with you". So after waiting for 2 weeks for a response from the company, I text the owner to express my concerns of fraud, the owner finally responded back and said disregard what the IRS website is saying about the processing time that it'll only take 6 weeks to receive refund. Well after 6 weeks, no refund and we were complete cut off from the company for months. From January 2023 to March 2023, the owner went ghost on all their clients. All calls, text messages and emails completely stopped. So we decided to call the IRS and inquire about the returns that were submitted and were told we should be receiving information in the mail regarding the returns. Well on April 4 2023, we received letters from the IRS stating more information was needed to complete the returns. After receiving this information we tried multiple times to contact the company and after 2 days, the owner finally called and stated for us to email her a copy of the letters so the company can submit the proper documents. We were told not to worry everything will be taken care of and submitted by the 1st of May 2023 so the refunds can be submitted. Well to sum this all up. No documents were ever submitted to the IRS. The company has went ghost and all clients have been cut off completely from the company. The refunds were never received and $1080 has went down the drain. Please help stop this fraud from continuing with this company against other people for this company is continuing with this fraudulent behavior with other victims.
