They called me by spoofing the NYPD and FBI phone numbers. They then contacted me using the Telegram phone application. They initially asked me to do an international wire transfer to a bank account in Hong Kong, which my Chase Bank did not allow. I then made 3 separate ACH wire transfers from my Chase Checkings account to a Gemini account they had me make. They asked me to convert it all to cryptocurrency and send it to one-time use codes. They told me the funds would go to my new account that is linked with my new social security number. They told me they would conduct an interview with me for my new SSN. They told me I was not allowed to talk about this "case" with anyone and they they were monitoring my activity as well as my close contacts. They intimidated me whenever I asked for verification. The person who was in contact with me identified himself as Josh Robinson, claiming he was an NYPD investigator. He said his badge number was 935604.
