NV Certificate Service Reports & Reviews (1)

- Las Vegas, NV, USA

Received a letter/form stating "2021 Certificate of Existence Request Form" at the top of the letter/notice. In the body of this fictitious document, it says that this "one step left in order to attain your elective Nevada Certificate of Good Standing". It was asking to send $112.75 via check or money order (red flag). When I googled the address on the envelope/letter, it came up with a UPS store with the same suite #. I also had called the 800 # on the letter to see what exactly this letter was about. The person didn't answer the phone as if it was a "business". I was told by the gentleman answering the phone that I needed to file out the form and send the money in order to get my certificate of good standing, which is needed if I wanted to open up a bank account for my company. I then asked if I could pay by phone or on a website, I was told that they do not offer that. I asked why. I was told that sending a check or money order was a protection for me. Needless to say, I did some more research and came across a law firm in Georgia that looked identical word for word of the letter I received. The only difference is that they changed Georgia (GA) to Nevada (NV). Also, when I did a search on the 800# it pulled up a ScamPulse.com complaint for this fictitious company but out of Georgia.
