My father happened to be browsing the internet for ResMed sleep masks, when he found a machine with a 5-star review supposedly submitted by me, for treatment I was alleged to be receiving for sleep apnea. I neither have sleep apnea, nor have I, as far as I'm aware, ever used a ResMed sleep machine. This appears to be completely fraudulent: I never gave a review, certainly did not give permission for my name or my image (lifted from my Facebook profile) to be used, and certainly do not consent to my private medical information to be made public - particularly when it is untrue. The last thing I need is for people to think that I have a sleep disorder! It looks like identity theft. I immediately contacted ResMed Australia, who got back to me this morning, a few days later, telling me that it appears to be another body, NSW Cpap, whose Facebook page this review appears upon. ResMed contacted them, and they denied having anything to do with it (allegedly), claiming that either Facebook itself submitted the review on their page, or otherwise someone hacked my Facebook account, doing nothing other than going onto that page and submitting the review. Obviously this is outrageous. I demand that we the public get to the bottom of this, those responsible are held accountable for it happening, and I am compensated for this egregious violation and cost to me of my reputation and time.
