I contacted North State Painting by phone and received response from Nick Boyles. Nick came to my home and provided estimate for exterior house painting along with asking me to reference their website for examples of their work. I agreed to proceeding with project and made payment via internet for $2,757.31 paid on August 4, 2023. Nick stated painting project would start September 18, 2023. I emailed several times to confirm as date drew near and did not receive response. Eventually Nick responded stating they were behind and would be starting in two weeks. Two weeks pass with no work or response. I again email several times to confirm state date and do not receive a reply. Eventually Nick emails that they are still behind but will start work on October 16. October 16 passes with no work and no contact from Nick. I email again numerous times and receive a reply on October 19 that an emergency situation has occured and that is why project is still delayed and that Nick will be contact with me in another week to update me on status. I email Nick on October 21 stating after waiting 11 1/2 weeks for work or at least a start date we want to cancel this project and receive our deposit back. Nick emails me immediately stating they will start the next day. I again state we no longer wish to do business with them. I have called repeatedly requesting a fax number or mailing address and individual who answers the phone will not provide information. Nick will not call me back.
