I contacted https://fed-help.org/ for assistance with consolidation my student loans and a lower monthly payment. I was promised much more than I have ever received!!!! I was told that my loans would be consolidated and the new payment amount would be significantly lower than it is now, nearly half. Also, since I work for a non-profit organization giving back to my community I would only have 120 months of payments and then loan forgiveness after the 10 years. My loan balance is approx $***. The only thing that happened was loan conoslidation. I have never received what my new loan payments will be or when the new payments start (supposedly much less). I was told I would receive an 8x11 envelope in 8 weeks or less with all of my new information and new payment amount. I have received absolutely nothing from them. I have received information from the Federal Student Loan Services (Government Agency). Same loan payment, same terms, that's it. Nothing has changed as far as the payment or the terms. I could have consolidated my loans on my own directly through the Federal Student Loan Services for free. This outfit ripped me off for $***. Steer clear from this outfit!! I am currently seeking legal assistance.
