I was sent a text message asking if I was interested in a job. I applied for a certain position and was sent an email asking to fill out an interview questionnaire. I was then asked to speak with an individual on Microsoft teams. We messaged back and forth then he said he would contact me later today. I was emailed forms to fill out which asked for my name and address as well as my social security number. I emailed them back to the recruiter and I was emailed a check. I was asked to direct deposit the check and then send back a screen shot of the direct deposit transaction being approved. This is where is became suspicious and stopped all forms of communication.
