This place called my elderly mother and told her Medicare referred her to them to get 2 knee braces & a back brace and Medicare would pay. They had her name, address, phone number and possibly Medicare number-my mother was confused and didn't know what that was. She received the items, but no doctor ordered it, nor did Medicare. Medicare said these are scams where they will charge large sums for the items to Medicare to get money. It has not been charged yet. Medicare said to send the items back and ask for a label to return. The would not send a label until they played back "tapes" to hear if my mother was confused or if she agreed. My mother had no idea what was happening. I will mail the items back via UPS and pay for them myself. Medicare said watch for a claim to come through so we can file a dispute. In the mean time, I want to report them because clearly they are scamming Medicare by preying on elderly people. My mother didn't know her Medicare number thankfully, so Medicare may never be charged, as I personally believe they were attempting to get the number from her by giving her a false last four digits so she could correct them and then they'd have it.
