Novus Leasing Reports & Reviews (1)

- Richmond, TX, USA

I was contacted through email by [email protected] and was approached because they had a vacancy in their company and were thanking me for my interest and sending my resume. I did not recall applying but had been aggressively applying for jobs at the time. I emailed my resume, was asked to apply formally online, and the next day I was offered a phone interview, which took about 10 minutes. The next day, I was offered a project manager position for $93,000 a year, but I would have to complete online training for a month on a contract position that would pay $2,500 at the end of the month. The position would be one of many for the new company that was opening locations across the United States within a month. I received information about the job, what benefits were included, their website, etc. I signed a document agreeing to the terms and began training the next day. I was assigned to work with their HR Manager on projects, who gave the same phone number but a different email ([email protected]). I have had daily communication with Novus Leasing for about a month now. I first completed 5 case studies by receiving PDF documents that I would complete the work and send back in Word documents. About two weeks ago, they offered me an additional project where I would help them purchase computers for the new office that would be open at the end of the month. They keep insisting that I use a personal credit card, transfer funds from their account, and then purchase computers for them. They keep saying that the company will be located in the same city where I am at and that they do not have the resources to do this themselves. They first kept saying that they were going to place the equipment in a temporary warehouse because they didn't trust me to hold the computers, but too much time passed and they just wanted me to make the transfer. I have refused to use a personal card and tried to purchase business gift cards for them. They kept trying to steer me away from using a business gift card or them purchasing the computers themselves. They have set deadlines for all of this work, and expect me to complete this project as soon as possible. I took the paperwork to Chase bank today, because the company had given me instructions on how to transfer funds into my personal credit card account by either Chase, American Express, or Wells Fargo. The Chase location manager looked at all the paperwork and said that this was fraud. I also reported it to the Fort Bend Sheriff's Department, who also said it was fraud. They cannot investigate because I caught it before monetary funds have been involved, but I spent a lot of hours working for this company. I hope that I can help prevent this from happening to someone else.

I have a lot more documents available, but I want you to see this especially. Please contact me for more information to help with any investigation.
