I was offered a work from home position doing customer service. I was sent a check thru email to deposit into my Mobil banking account for $3500.00 on Jan 12 2019. The was returned to payee on Jan 17. The bank states that the deposit had been altered. I called the hiring manger from NovaBay. He states that the accounting department has not funded the account yet. He also stated I would be reissued a check by mail this Saturday which will be Jan 19 alone with my offer for the position that I was hired for. I think this is a fraud because he asked me to do things before I am officially hired. He asked me to go to Walmart and purchase itune cards for a total of $2000.00 to pay for software and computer equipment and he would supply the name of these vendors once I pay for these cards. Then I would be reimbursed by the company.
