Type of a scam Online Purchase
The purchase page on Noteama.com did not allow for direct CC/debit payment, only a PayPal link. After I made the purchase through this PayPal link, I received an email from PayPal with a tracking number and a name with Chinese symboled writing. This tracking number did not have the product description like most other PalPal purchases do. I called the number on the website, and it has been busy every time I call and quickly disconnects.
According to my phone, this number is based in Indiana, while the companies' address on the website is based in Ohio. I have also emailed both the support email address on the website at ''[email protected]'' and also directly emailed the seller contact email from the PayPal invoice-Name ?? at [email protected]. No response to either email.
Then, I received an email from UPS stating a .4lb package was delivered. There was no package delivered and I can assure you of this since we live in a duplex where both us and the neighbors have packages delivered all the time with no issue, and we were also working in the yard outside the day the package was marked delivered.
Also, .4 lbs are much too small for a tent that would weigh around 10lbs. Since then I have opened a dispute with PayPal to get my $82.89 back and am waiting for the response. I called UPS and provided the tracking number, they had a completely different name and address for this tracking number 1Z81WV080364941391. UPS then gave me a fraud number to call and report it.
So now I am trying to take all the steps possible to have this company reported, and especially be taken down off Google's front page when searching for this item. This company only allows Paypal, had Paypal send a tracking number somehow, then gets the package marked delivered as well with a notification sent to the customer.
