"This is customer rewards department. Can you hear me alright?"

I responded "yes"

Voice continued with something about a survey qualifying for some reward program.

I hung up and will now have to monitor my statements more closely.

I receive two or more letters a week from an unnamed company in an unmarked, postage-paid envelope, and the message "FINAL NOTICE," and "IMPORTANT MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES INFORMATION - PLEASE CALL IMMEDIATELY." The envelops vary, but they are very misleading, some times containing emblems in designs that include depictions of bald eagles, that closely resemble government official emblems (such as the Great Seal of the United States).

Although they avoid litigation by not impersonating bluntly and directly any government agency, they are tricking unsuspecting customers into thinking they are a government agency (as exemplified in the wording of "MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES" above, which may make the receiver or such letter think that this comes from the Department of MOTOR VEHICLES, which it does not. It is clear to me that, although they avoid doing it directly, this/these company/companies is/are in fact fraudulently impersonating US government agencies, tricking unsuspecting customers into calling them. Again, this is a completely dishonest company that is tricking their customers into thinking that they are a government agency.

The only contact information provided is a phone number: 800-207-8139, but this varies from letter to letter.

This fraudulent business has sensitive information such as my full name, my address (I recently moved and they obtained my new address and continue to send me FINAL NOTICES), and information on the vehicles I own.

Please do the best you can to stop them.

Attached please find a copy of one of the last letters I received. They send me one per car I own.
