Type of a scam Phishing
It has happened many times. They make you think they have debited your account so you will call to cancel. I did call them the first time and they tried to get me to give them my debit card number to verify my identity. They also wanted me to plug my phone into my computer to check the expiration date of Nortons or McAfee. They also answer the phone saying different names, i.e.Norton, McAfee, Paypal. When I started to question them, they hung up.
