Email advising Norton Virus product was purchased using online bank debit of $380.99 completed. A second email would be sent when product ships.

See attached. Uploaded by ScamPulse.com Staff on behalf of victim.

Received email from Norton LifeLock360. I do not use this service.

The person in the email said my Norton coverage on my laptop was expired and I needed to pay $330.00 to restart it I called the phone number and they said if I did not pay it I would have no protection on my Laptop.I told them first of all I do not have Norton protection on my Laptop, I have a different type (Trend protection).I then hung up.I called Bestbuy where I purchased my laptop and bought my protection and they told me it was a scam. They said I am protected until the end of August and that it will not expire until then. I then called back the scam and let them know that I checked all this out and that they were a scam and they hung up on me real quick

I received a email. I called them and said it was a scam. Someone that sound like a foreigner ask me why I think it was a scam. I said cause I never purchased this and they said it was a scam and hung up.

Norton Anti-Virus is a long standing and well known brand that thousands, if not millions, of people have come to trust over the years. Personally I have been a Norton customer for nearly 25 years. Unfortunately, in the last few years Norton has taken to bundling its anti-virus/anti-malware/anti-spam products, intentionally, with numerous pop-ups and advertisements that CANNOT be disabled. Further exacerbating the issue, the "don't show me this again" and similar buttons that appear in the pop-up do not function, and instead take the customer/user to the products website or a larger advertisement.

Norton advertises services to protect against spam, but then intentionally spams the customer and completely negates the purpose of the software. Do not use.

I was told that my internet devises were not protected under my current Mcaffe plan. they proceeded to walk me through my settings to show me that my devise was on public not private and that anyone could enter my internet access and help themselves to any of my private information. They transferred me to their norton representative to help me with a refund. Of course they needed my bank to direct deposit the refund. Then a newer version of Mcaffee would be installed. Of course, instead of $130.00 a total of 13000.00 was (accidentally) entered. He claimed that he could lose his job and if I could possibly help him out by obtaining visa, target and apple gift cards to replace this awkward mistake. Fool that I am I did it. then after I did he no longer answered the phone or text. My bank account was completely manipulated. I don't know if there's any chance of recovering any of this damage

Sent fake invoice for antivirus I do not have and did not order. Have a number to call with questions (8445441530). I did not call…

I got an email from Norton. They said that my policy would be renewed for another two years. I don't have Norton.

Receiving emails from what looks like Norton, an anti-virus software company, but the header has a funky font and upper and lower case letters. The email states that my subscription is expiring and they want you to click on "Renew Now". I NEVER CLICK ON ANYTHING IN THESE EMAILS. I have received several emails that look this way, but from different email addresses. Beware of their email addresses. I block them and send them to my Spam folder. I will also be reporting them to the FTC.

I keep receiving emails from what looks like Norton, an anti-virus software company, but the fonts in the header of the email are funky and in upper and lower case letters. The email is stating that my subscription has expired and wants me to click on the "renew now" box. I DO NOT CLICK ANYWHERE IN THIS EMAIL. I have blocked this email address and sent it to Spam folder. I will also be sending this to the FTC to hopefully investigate.

Received an email telling me Norton Security was renewing my account for 450.00. A phone number was given to get a credit. Like a shmuck I called and begin to fill out their form. When we got to the part asking for my bank account I balked. after some small talk I hung up and was unable to start up my computer.

I received the attached email. I checked my debit account and had no charge for that amount. I decided to call them, knowing that there was a high likelihood of this being a scam at this point. A man with an Indian accent answered (the accent is not necessarily an indicator of scam, as a large portion of US tech support is outsourced to India) and asked for the last four numbers of the invoice #. He was unable to tell me any specifics other than I had signed up for a free trial of Norton 360 Total Protection (Not a real product if you visit Norton's website) and they were no longer offering free access. He could not provide any account specific details that pertained to me and when I mentioned my suspicions that this was a scam he immediately hung up.

I was sent an email stating that I had been charged for Norton Anti-Virus renewal and given a phone number to call for a refund. I left a message for them to return my call. My call was returned and I proceeded to follow instructions to receive the 499.00 refund. In order to do this they required me to install Desk (?) and this let them access my computer. They told me that they needed to remove the Norton Software from my computer. I was transferred to a "bank manager" who would issue the refund. They gave me long series of numbers telling me that this was there licensing information. They required access to my bank account where they told me that they would refund the money into this account. Once there they transferred $10,000 from my savings account to my checking account unbeknownst to me. They asked me to type in $100.00 and it appeared that my keyboard was not working. They became very agitated and angry with me. Then when I entered the amount it read 10,000$. Now there were accusing me of intentionally paying myself with their money. They would be losing their job, I would be losing my computer, they would report me to the FBI. So in order to correct the problem I needed to go to my bank and withdraw 9600.00 and wait for instructions on what to do with the sum withdrawn. I was to tell the bank that I was making a car purchase. When I went to the bank I learned that they had transferred this money from my account and we immediately took the account off-line.

I questioned the scammer many times, stating that I didn't trust them, that it didn't feel credible, that I felt extremely vulnerable. There was background noise like a call center where I could hear other scammers using loud voices with other callers. My experience was the deeper I got in the more fearful I got. It was a very painful and embarrassing and potentially costly experience. I had my computer cleaned, through Equifax I have locked my credit report and I have a service that alerts me to potential misuse of my information, To date there were alerts linked to my email account.
