I received this reciept in my email. I did not open it. I goggled the call back number and it returned to Satco Technologies in West Monroe, LA so I called the number & got an Arab speaking person who said he was with Norton Security saying my computer had a problem & was being charged the amount indicated in the email. I told him he was trying to rip me off & hung up.

I googled the number again & seen the notice from the ScamPulse.com that this business was no longer in business.

'Thank You for Your Order' is the banner that starts this email and it is followed by an order#, a product id, a renewal date, and a transaction status which is "auto debit from credit card" and a total amount of $. I went to the REAL Norton Antivirus Website and obtained a customer service number, went through a bunch of automated menus to determine that the REAL me does not have any Norton products (I stopped using their services years ago!) and even tried to speak to a customer service agent who only wanted to sell me a product not listen to the reason that I called them. I also called the number listed on the ScamPulse.com website but was directed to an online chat since they have too many complaint calls and are "busy". So, beware! This may be 'phishing' it may be that someone has enough information to be billing a fake product under a real credit card in your/my name. Norton does not make it easy to verify which is the case and that helps the fraud to continue.

I received an email today from Norton. It stated that my 3 year contract was up snd they were going to automatically renew my account for 3 years for $349.99 dollars. I called and told the lady that I don’t have a Norton account and that I do not want one. She hung up on me. I called back and a man answered and I told him the same thing. He said I need you to get on your computer to cancel it. I said “No I don’t have it snd I don’t want it.” And he hung up. There number is 866-843-8806. They gave me a confirmation number 82530B53426.
