I received an email from Norton Anti Virus saying my account would be charged $299, adn if I did not want this charge, I needed to call ***-***-****. I called and spoke to a man with an accent. He told me to go to my computer and go to anydesk.com. I went to the website. Then he told me to push the big, red download button. I would not download anything. He was telling me I should do it to take off the pending charge. I said nothing says Norton Anti Virus. He said it will show Norton after I download it. I hung up.

I received an email on 4/12/2022 with an "invoice" attached that stated my Norton Anti Virus had been renewed at a price of $299.99 and there was a phone number of 805-391-4729 to cancel or upgrade. I reported this to Norton at [email protected] as well.

Called claiming he was from Norton Anti Virus, his name was Kevin Macguire. Wanting to give us a refund. But we dont even have Norton they just wanted our banking number

Received an email telling me that I’d ordered Norton Premium for $299.I hadn’t ordered anything). I called the number and was even more suspicious when he asked if I was using it on a laptop or phone. via chat informed them that I m already getting Norton for free from my cable company. A message popped up saying it would no longer be working with my provider effective January 1st. My provider did confirm it would no longer be free but they have their own security setup in place. Whoever is behind this knows Norton is making a change and trying to get access to your information.

Received this email saying I purchased a lifetime contract with Norton Anti virus and my account will be debited. I called the number because I did not order this. It rang once then went dead. I checked my account and there were no pending charges. I checked the email and noticed it did not have anything to do with Norton. I do not have Norton.

Email states this:

I am reporting a scam call I received. The call was from from Rachel with Norton Anti Virus for my computer. I have been receiving calls for three to four weeks. I usually don't answer. They keep calling. Their phone number is 800-337-2169. In my caller ID. They are charging $299.99 for virus protection. She said I have to sit at my computer. I told her to speak clearly. I said I have the Better Business Bureau and my attorney with me. She began speaking in a foreign language and hung up.
