Received text notification for job interview. Interview and company info and person "conducting" interview seems 100% valid.

Was hired, filled out w4 and i-9 forms.

Completed a couple of tasks, was told that I would receive a check for equipment. Followed prompt and 5 days after deposit and paying "vendors", issued check bounced. Contacted person and never received reply.

I received a text msg requesting a job interview. I was told to download the Zoom app to my mobile device with an email address to HR manager Sophie Rogers. I was also given a reference code. None of this info made sense so I emailed Sophie Rogers at the given address asking her to validate that this was a legitimate job. The next morning I received this response: Hello ,

Please get connected with me by sending me an invite/message to my Zoom ID ( [email protected] ) so we can begin as soon as possible. Thank you and Good luck.

I proceeded to search the company website online and could find no such job listing.

This is obviously a scam.
