I was contacting and stated I have a debt with Ace Cash Express and I can pay a settlement offer of $650 to resolve account I setup payments and have paid the $650 but can’t reach the company for my paid off letter

• Jun 15, 2023

The settlement in full is generated 7 days after payment. Please contact 470-344-0283 and speak to payment processing to resolve this issue immediately.

Called me about a past due bill. Im an honorable person and if I owe something I pay it. No one had contacted me about this bill and it was 8 years old. He mentioned it going to court and wanted to give me a chance to settle. I Said hey if I owe something I owe something. So I settled, Come to find out a year and a half later, guess what! The original account never contacted me and never sold the account and never went to court. Its still due. These people took the money, and their settlement papers dont count for squat. Legit Scam. I still owe the money and it was never going to go to court, ever. Dont pay these people.

Hello, just concerned about a original owner still maintaining a file. In most case only those that have failed to pay are sent to this mediation company. We are professional and please call so we can research why this may have happen so it will not happen again. This is an area of great concern.. Call 470-344-0283.

Was charged 48$ that I did not authorize
All web addresses I've tried are not good sites
Can't reach them to disputes charge. On a fixed income and that is money I can't afford to loose

• Jun 15, 2023

Please call us at 470-344-0283. We will research and if the payment was not applied properly we will adjust.

These people are still calling. Call someone else cause I already handle my business! Just blocked them! The phone companies need to do something about calls.

I told them I already handled this. They want me to send them proof so that they can close my file. Do it yourself lady that is why you have a job. I'm not proving nothing.

I would suggest making screen caps of this entire thread, wherein these responses to "shan" are the prize winners for sheer chutzpah. They would also make ideal exhibits in litigation against Northlake, or Foundation Resolution or Restoration Credit or Secured Access, or whatever name change they've hatched for the year. "Mister Real Dissonance" has handed over some lovely violation counts for Shan to tan the collectors' hides in a _real_ court case.

Nothing in the FDCPA or the CFPB's Debt Collection Rule obligates a person to offer "proof of payment", explanations, or jumped hoops as a condition of gaining partial or total silence from a collection agency. The alleged debtor has the right "at all times" to make it known how, when, and where communication may and may not occur. The agency in receipt of clear contact restrictions must obey immediately, not whine defensively, make stupid excuses for denial, or unfairly shift its own burden of "proof" to the party who is *not* making the debt claim.

It is very unlikely that phone numbers for a child and that child's estranged grandmother would be listed by a creditor and copied to some junk debt asset. It is very likely that a junk debt collector would scavenge the Internet and data brokers for anyone to hassle with "Family Reunion" calls to shame and upset the alleged debtor. This badly warps the legal allowance for skip tracing, particularly when the alleged debtor was evidently never missing, and it's a longtime favorite "smoke 'em out" tactic of extortionists who know they cannot prove their debt claims.

In response to this post it is the responsibility of the debtor to provide proof of settlement in full documents to exhaust all calls and efforts for previous debts do. If the debt is still showing "unpaid" then all collections efforts will continue by various agencies. If you have any questions or additional concerns please contact us at 470-344-0283 for resolution.

It is the duty of all "debtors" that if they have paid their debt to provide proof of payment so they can be removed from a system. Many on here are stating they have paid their long (avoidance) debt and have not still owing then coming to sites like this stating "scam" and know they owe the money.

This company called me my mom and my 10 years old phone. I haven't even talk to my mom in years. first off I'm not paying handling anything with them that should be against the law calling my child and my mother who I don't even like or talk to in years.

First we do not target calls. We are provided with numbers listed at the time the debt occurs we do not have additional names only the name of the debtor and that is clearly stated when a message or contact is made. if you have any additional questions or concerns please contact us at 470-344-0283

Received a call from North lake Mediation saying that there was a civil complaint filed against me, and that they would like to give me a chance to settle it over the phone before it goes to court. I have no such civil complaint. I have blocked them, and will report it as a scam.
Civil complaint against me.

An ambush phone call is not proper first notice of "an active debt that should be paid". Flatly lying about that account's legal status as a fright tactic is in fact a solid reason *not to pay* as demanded. The stock "call us and we'll fix it" replies here do not whitewash such plain violation of consumer protection law.

This is an active debt that should be paid if there is a discrepancy we will resolve. Call us at 470-344-0283

I spoke with a Mr. James at 470-344-0283 he said they were Northlake Mediation Group but he had NO customer service skills at all. I only called back to see why they were calling me. I was going to agreed to let them help me with my claim but Mr. rude [censored] will not talk to me any kind of way... not in these times. Sir it's 2023 and GOOD customer service is a must. I'll have my attorney deal with them I bet he'll have better communication skills then! foh
