Got an e-mail last week, congratulating me on being fully approved for a loan. Don't remember signing up for it. Had instructions to contact them and talk to my representative about my contract details etc. Called her today and found out the details. Low interest rates over 5 years, with low monthly payments. But, because of my bad credit history, they could only issue the loan ($8000) if I did one of two things. 1) either sign over a title to my car or house as a guarantee that I could be trustworthy to be able to pay the payments etc or 2) send them 4 monthly payments for a total of $650.00 to secure the loan, not pay anything until October and then I'd have them money sent to me in 2-3 hours of receiving the funds. I told her since I couldn't do either, that I'd get back to her, which I'am not going to do as after research, I knew was illegal in Canada to do so. I kinda figured it was off, but I fully know that it's fraudulent. So..stay away from Northern Pined Lending. Also googled their address, there's nothing there remotely about lending services.
