I got a call from a Steve Price who was very nice at first he was explaining to me how I took a loan out back in 2010 or 2011 from Cash Now. He informed me that he was a lawyer and I had a court date set up on 01/29/2016 in Canadian County Court house they were seeking to garnish my wages if I didn’t make a full payment before my court date. He told me that Cash now deposited a check into my checking account.( Which was a checking account that I used in the past). I remember applying for a loan online back then but I know for sure I did not take the loan. So I made a joke that I needed to call the bank because they have our money and they better have the interest to. He started to get really upset because he knew I wasn’t falling for it. He stated quoting my personal info such as my address, my SSN, my banking account info, my husband’s name etc. He knew my updated address when I went online and applied for the loan I lived in a different city. I advised him that I didn’t take out the loan and any debit I had all got disposed of when I filed bankruptcy. I advised him any other correspondence needed to be sent to my lawyer’s office. He became very upset calling me names telling me he can’t wait to see me in court and then hung up in my face. I called Cash Now they advised that I indeed had applied for a loan but there was no funds sent to me. The rep advised that a lot of people have been calling in about someone calling trying to collect money from them. Weeks later I got a collection letter in the mail from him dated 01/01/2015 advising my current balance is 2,528.00 and his offering a settlement of 1,615.05. And that amount must be received on or before 01/26/2016. If the amount is paid by then then he will cease all collection actions if not then my credit report would be updated. Payments are to me made by check or money order made out to North American Credit Solutions.
