I was contacted through email about a job application. Wanting to set up a briefing and interview using google chat. Once on the chat platform I was sent a link to view the company website. I was given a job description and duties. I asked how they received my contact info, the interviewer replied "Your resume was sent to our company by a career building website we reviewed it and reached out to you". I checked the. BBB, and it shows the company is not ScamPulse.com accredited. I was told I would be receiving a check to purchase needed equipment for the job, and listed the equipment and software I would need to purchase to perform the job. I was also told they have a vendor they use that I would purchase the equipment from. I told them that the company is not ScamPulse.com accredited and the reply was ok, which ended the chat. I gave my name and address, which now I should have asked them what address they are showing for me, as it is listed on my resume. I believe I made a mistake and want to protect myself.
