I booked a vacation through Expedia and then realized it was a 3rd party booking through VRBo and then Christian RRP. The initial contact seemed odd because it brought you to a website that did not have any real contact information. I also searched the web and found out this listing agent, had been scamming people out of their travel bookings. I reached out to Vrbo and asked them to find out if the reservation was a scam, they told me everything was fine. I asked Christian if he could give me proof of my reservation with the hotel. He said he was making a priority but the owner was very busy. He said 15-7 days before trip they would confirm with me, then he said that the owner was not able to be located. It was 2 days before my trip Christian texted me to say my room was cancelled, he could offer me a different hotel. I cancelled but both Vrbo and Expedia are not really helpful. I made them aware that this company has many other people saying they were scammed but the company does nothing to protect their travelers. I wrote to the vp of Americas at VRBO and they weren’t helpful. I was able to find new lodging but will not book with VRBO again.
