I was mailed what looked to be official correspondence from my mortgage company. They used publicly available info to make the "offer" look official. The knew the name of the Trust our home is in and other facts. The communication asked for an immediate response regarding the revocation of an Allocated Waiver. There was a phone number for English speakers and another for Spanish speakers. It stated their hours of operation (when to call) and noted they were closed Saturdays. There was what looked to be a $199 check at the bottom of the letter. Below the check it did state "Not all consumers have previous coverage" and "Not affiliated with {my mortgage company} and lastly "This is not a check".

They made the mistake of using the original mortgage company we who gave us the loan. It has been sold to another lender.
