My mom received a postcard in the mail with no company name, no email address or website. It refers to "closed mortgage recorded on "X" date (which is a date she purchased a home and has not mortgage/paid cash). The card goes on to say "We need you to call us about an important matter regarding this loan. This is time sensitive so please call us at 844-926-2556 as soon as possible. Mortgage ID# xxxxx-xxx-xxx (it lists a number even though my mom does NOT have a mortgage, she owns her new property outright).

I tried calling this number and there is no way to speak to someone without putting in their fake mortgage number so I didn't talk to anyone - I didn't want them to associate her name/address with someone who actually called back. This was very unnerving to her and if I hadn't intercepted, she would have called as I am her POC and handle her finances.
