I received an unsolicited mailer with no return address, no company name, no address, just a phone number. The letter is setup almost like a collection letter, giving me 10 days to call this "negotiations department". Clearly they pulled my credit report without authorization based on the RE having the name of several of my credit card companies. If I was a at risk individual, I may have fallen for this, but I'm not. My father who is 75 and dying of cancer received something similar and was scammed out of $40,000. So, normally I'd toss this, but I am sick of these companies trying to scam people.
