I was asked for $108.00 for something that is called LPCC. It also says Labor Law Compliance Notice on the top right. This is complete bull[censored] and a SCAM. Please do not fall for it. I was saved by searching deep into it, but that's not the case with everyone else.

DO NOT PAY A SINGLE PENNY for your received document.

I was almost victim of this scam, because I received a letter from them state that I have one step left, but if you read through the letter you'll see "New Jersey Certificate Service is not affiliated with any government or state agency and this notice is a sollicitation for your business", they have to include that in the letter, so that they can cover their wrong. You can see the picture of this letter.

I received an "invoice" in the mail from NJ Certificate Service asking me to update my certificate of good standing with NJ State for my LLC. I almost sent a check for $114, but did some further digging because I renewed my actual Certificate less than 1 year ago. The fine print says: "NJ Certificate Service is not affiliated with any government or state agency and this notice is a solicitation for your business," buried in a small font paragraph. Thank god I read this before putting in the mail (it even came with a return envelope!). The invoice looks EXACTLY like the actual NJ State form. How are these people allowed to operate? How have they not been shut down? Is there no protection in this country from scams?

I filed my LLC certificate a week ago. I got a letter in the mail from NJ Certificate Service today telling me I had to send them $114 by August 24, 2020. The letter states: "You have one step left in order to attain your elective Business Entity Standing Certificate from New Jersey Certificate Service."

They're implying they work with the State of New Jersey and that I have to send them money to get something I've already paid for through the State of NJ.

Company offers to provide a "2020 certificate of good standing" for a business that "may be required to open bank accounts" and "to transact business" in the state of NJ. When I called, the woman on the phone advised it was a "service" they are providing but could not tell me what the services were other than printing and mailing a certificate of good standing for $114.50

Only after asking if they were affiliated with the State of NJ did she advise they are not.
