Scammer set up a listing on Craigslist Omaha for "Brown Schnauzer needs good home." When contacted by text message at (402) 428-0113, dog had already been rehomed and suggested contacting Nixspuppypals.com where their family had supposedly gotten 3 dogs over the last 4 years. After contacting Nix's by email, I was directed to send my phone number to arrange making a downpayment for a puppy using Apple Pay. They sent a request for payment and claimed that they did not receive it for approval and to try again which I did two more times. They were supposed to send instructions on picking up the puppy in the Kansas City area. The promised instructions were never sent even after claiming that they sent them to a wrong email address and would resend immediately. Several ApplePay requests came by text from 1(501) 902-6636 and one came from [email protected]. I contacted ApplePay and my bank informing them that I had been scammed. The scammers did not respond to texts or email with the promised information. I later found NixsPuppyPals listed on petscams.com. My bank suggested that I report this to ScamPulse.com and to the police.

Had a message from an ad on Craigslist about a schnauzer adoption site. Deposit of $300 was placed on a puppy through Apple Pay and we were to meet them at a location to pick up the dog. We arrived to get the dog and she was asking for the remainder of the balance of $150 before she even arrived with the dog. We would not pay her until we saw the dog and she said she would not meet without the final payment and said she would issue us a refund but has since blocked our number.
